This is Us!

My name is Christy Davis, and I live in a small Texas town.  The kind of town where everyone knows everyone's business, and we love it that way .  I'm a wife, a step mom, a leader of a Women On Mission group at my church, and I'm involved with a mission's group that serves the Kuna people of Panama (www.soulseekersministry.org).  I graduated in 2009 from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth with a degree in Christian Education.  When God called me out of my darkness, He also put a calling in my life for missions.  I am passionate about God's word of saving grace reaching those who have never heard of His love.  I have gone on numerous mission trips since I started doing missions 19 years ago, and I spent a year in the country of Panama learning the culture and language. The Kuna people captured my heart in 2001, and they have yet to let go.  In 2010, God called me back home with an inner promise that it was time to meet my husband.  I moved home in October of 2010, meet my husband in December, and was married by June 2011.  Yes, it gave me whiplash too!  Since that time, I helped my husband raise a beautiful, redheaded little girl who has now grown in to an even more beautiful young woman that is engaged to be married soon.  We are patiently waiting on the blessing of grandbabies one day.  When I actually sit and think about where God has brought me from and the blessings He has given me, I am overwhelmed with gratitude.  One of my favorite quotes I've seen on social media is, " I can remember praying for the things I now have".
